At Unida Translation, We Speak Your Language. That is the core of our business model. We accommodate our clients with the translator or interpreter who knows exactly the language that is needed. We know, for example, that Spanish is not spoken in the same way throughout Latin America, and that there are dialects and variations in other languages, as well. Last year, 2023, was a year of structuring. We did our research and opened a second satellite office in Valparaiso, Indiana (our first is in Schererville) to continue to serve the needs of our customers. Towards the end of the year, Unida Translation was highlighted in a special way!
As the owner of Unida Translation, I am delighted to share with everyone the highlight of last year as it would not have been made possible without the support and contributions of our translators, interpreters, blog writers, administrative assistants, mentors, clients, family, and friends.
Entrepreneurs and the businesses they create are crucial to our communities and future. In an effort to bring Indiana’s 5E strategic vision to life, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation launched Entrepreneurship Indiana 2023, the second entrepreneurial yearbook published in partnership with PATTERN to honor the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and inspire future founders and innovators. The 2023 edition features 100 entrepreneurial success stories, highlighting the ambition, commitment and resilience of entrepreneurs of all backgrounds and industries across the state. Unida Translation’s story was recognized in this amazing book!
The IEDC celebrated this with three events during Global Entrepreneurship Week in the northern, central, and southern parts of Indiana. I had the pleasure (with the sweet surprise of my parents accompanying me last minute) to attend their event in South Bend at Founder Factory in the Studebaker Administration Building where I was able to grab my first fresh copy. It was an emotional moment!
To finish the year with a big bang and with more emotion, Unida Translation finally sponsored a Christmas Tree in Prairie West Park in Saint John, Indiana. (I say “finally” because year after year my children would ask me, “Where is our tree?”) Our tree was beautiful with over 280 flags. It was a hit! Everyone would visit our tree and look for their flags.
